Cape Cod Whale " Tooth"

One of a kind, handmade ceramic whale "tooth" in the style of 19th century mariner's scrimshaw. The illustrations are etched used a technique called sgraffito. Scrimshaw was a past time for sailors on whaling boats and is part of Cape Cod's maritime history. Each ceramic "tooth" is one of a kind, crafted ethically and locally here in Chatham.
