Yankee Ingenuity is a gallery and gift shop on Cape Cod, in the beautiful seaside village of Chatham, about a half mile from the Atlantic Ocean.

Established in 1971, the gallery showcases the award-winning color landscape photography of Jon Vaughan, the author of Coastal Effects, a photographic tribute to Cape Cod.

About Jon Vaughan
Jon Vaughan is an award-winning photographer and the author of Coastal Effects, a photographic tribute to Cape Cod. Coastal Effects has been featured in Cape Cod Life, Coastal Living, WCVB-TV’s Chronicle, and The Boston Globe.
A self-taught photographer, Vaughan has been photographing the Cape for more than 30 years. In pursuing the challenge of being in the “right place at the right time,” Vaughan has captured many of the extraordinary moments common to this spectacular coastal paradise. Recent exhibitions include solo shows at Cape Cod Museum of Art, Massachusetts General Hospital, Fidelity Investments and The Salt Pond Visitors Center. Vaughan’s work can be viewed at his gallery, Yankee Ingenuity, in Chatham. His work is widely collected and can be found in thousands of private homes and collections.
Jon Vaughan is the founder and creative visionary behind Yankee Ingenuity, a gift shop and art gallery on Cape Cod. Jon opened Yankee Ingenuity in 1971 when he was 25 years old. It has been in continuous operation ever since. Jon owns and operates Yankee Ingenuity with the indispensable help of his lovely and talented wife, Sharon Hayes.
